Ring in the New Year at Fort William Historical Park’s New Year’s Eve Family Frolic. Enjoy a family-friendly evening filled with indoor and outdoor activities, games and live entertainment.

The celebrations will culminate with a dazzling fireworks display in the Main Square.

Food and Beverage

  • Full menu offered in the Cantine (Debit, Visa, MasterCard, & cash accepted)
  • Outside food and beverages are not allowed
    • In the case of dietary restrictions please contact the Visitor Experience Coordinator at 807-473-2357 to make alternate arrangements prior to event date

What to Bring

  • Hats, mitts, face coverings, and all other weather appropriate clothing
  • Ice skates (a skate and sled check location will be available)
  • Cash (ATM available in Visitor Centre only; no ATM on historic site)

Bus Information

  • There is no shuttle service for the event from any point in the city
  • Check the Thunder Bay transit schedule, Neebing route, here

Access to the Site by Snow Machine & RV

  • Snow machines cannot park at the event; there is no admissions entrance via the Kaministiquia River
  • RV’s will not be permitted in the parking lot for overnight stay

Camping

  • There is no camping at this event, the campground is closed for the season

  • Fort William Historical Park has a zero tolerance policy; any patron found to be in contravention with FWHP rules and regulations will be dealt with accordingly
  • Pets are not allowed at this event
