The Star Walk will be closed to the General Public on Saturday February 25, 2017. Night Sky Snowshoe Treks
Experience a journey on historic snowshoes through the forests of Fort William with the North Star as your guide. Our astronomers and navigators will set you on a journey you will never forget as you learn to use the environment to find your way. Learn about survival skills, night and day navigational techniques, snowshoes and much more. Ensure to dress appropriately as we will be outdoors for an extended period of time and in the snow.

Stimulate your senses on a journey through the cosmos with the observatory’s top astronomers. They will take you from the subatomic universe to the very edge of the observable universe. Take control of a one of our fleet of telescopes to observe galaxies, planets, nebulas and more. Don’t fret if the night is cloudy, our observatory is linked with other cutting edge observatories around the world for remote access to a clear sky.
