Folk tell a tale of an unknown and unrelenting evil that descends upon helpless villages. Travellers who stumble upon these villages always discover the same grisly scene: signs of struggle, the ground awash in blood, and the putrefied remains and scattered bones of the village's inhabitants.

Admission

$15.00 per person (*Price includes HST)

  • Reservations are required for Haunted Fort Night
  • Haunted Fort Night is recommended for people ages 12+
  • Adult only tours are offered for people ages 18+

Haunted Fort Night utilizes strobe lights, loud noises, fog machines, tight spaces, uneven flooring and in some situations, visitors may experience total darkness.

Please be advised that people who suffer from heart conditions, high blood pressure, asthma, seizures, light sensitivity, claustrophobia, women who are pregnant, and/or people with any other health conditions may not be compatible with these special effects. If you have concerns, please check with your health care provider.

Tours

Tours run every 10 minutes and last for approximately 1-1.5 hours. Tours can accommodate 20 people.

  • Please arrive 15 minutes before your tour time
  • Late arrivals cannot be accommodated or rescheduled
  • Tours will leave at their scheduled times
  • Late arrivals will not be allowed to join a tour already in progress
  • There will be no refunds or exchanges for late arrivals

Do you have what it takes to fight the zombie apocalypse? Test your aim at moving zombie targets in this sniper-style paintball experience! Tickets can be purchased in advanced or in person: $5 for 50 paintballs.

Car
Fort William Historical Park is located at 1350 King Road, Thunder Bay. Click here to get directions to the Park. Parking is free.

Thunder Bay Transit
Fort William Historical Park can be reached by taking Thunder Bay Transit Route #4 Neebing, Bus stop #1609. Plan your trip using NextLift or view the Neebing route schedule. The Thunder Bay Transit Route #4 Neebing to Fort William Historical Park does not run on Sundays or Statutory Holidays.

Access by bike, boat or RV

  • Cyclists are welcome; bike racks are available
  • Boats cannot dock at the event; there is no admission via the Kaministiquia River
  • RVs can only park in the main parking lots for day visits. Overnight camping for RVs is only permitted in the registered campground with a camping permit and campsite. Learn more about our RV and tent campground.

What to Bring

  • Weather appropriate clothing. This is an all-weather event, and takes place indoors and outdoors.
  • Cash; ATM available in the Visitor Centre

Food & Beverage

  • Snacks will be available for purchase at the BBQ located beside the Visitor Centre

Event Rules and Regulations

  • Fort William Historical Park has a ZERO TOLERANCE policy. Any patron found to be in contravention with the rules and regulations will be dealt with accordingly.
  • Pets are not allowed at this event
  • Cell phones or flashlights are not allowed
  • Drugs and alcohol are not allowed
  • This event is a go in all weather conditions
  • There are no rain dates
