The winners of the 2020 Canadian Storytelling in Minecraft Competition were recently announced and Alex Coghill, a student at Thunder Bay’s Woodcrest School, placed second for telling the story of the fur trade a Fort William! Alex’s achievement exemplifies FWHP’s commitment to “Preserving the Past while Building the Future,” as his project brings to life the history of the fur trade at Fort William using the current technology of Minecraft. You can watch Alex’s story here:

To celebrate his amazing achievement, FWHP was inspired to launch a new annual Youth Ambassador program and has named Alex as its first Youth Ambassador! Members of the FWHP team surprised Alex at his school with a special presentation to unveil this new program and inaugurate Alex as the first Youth Ambassador!
