Drop-off and Pick up Procedures

Children can be dropped off from 8:30am-9:00am and picked up between 4:30pm-5:00pm at the Visitor Centre. Day Camps run weekdays from 9:00am-4:30pm.

Anyone dropping-off or picking up children must follow these procedures:

Sign in your child with the Day Camp Leader.

Pick up:  Sign out your child with the Day Camp Leader. You will be asked to identify yourself and your child. As a further precaution, we request that you and your child select a "family password" that will confirm the identity of the person signing out your child. The Day Camp Leader will also ask for this password before releasing a child.

Because several parents are signing out at the same time, please allow time for this process to take place to ensure the safety of all children.

If you anticipate that your child will be late or absent, please call the Reservations & Sales Clerk at 807-473-2344.

Special Needs

If your child has special needs, details must be included with your registration form. If your child has a support person at school you must provide one at camp. We are unable to provide one-on-one supervision or specific medical support. If you are unsure whether the camp is appropriate for your child, please call the Reservations & Sales Clerk at 807-473-2344.

Conduct Policy

Fort William Historical Park aims to provide a safe learning environment where participants are free from bullying, discrimination and stereotyping. In the event of disruptive behaviour a warning and time out will be used. If disruptive behaviour continues, the parent/guardian will be contacted for a discussion with the Day Camp Leader. Fort William Historical Park reserves the right to remove children from the program whose disruptive behaviour cannot be resolved.
