Fort William Historical Park To Host Canada Day Celebration

Thunder Bay, ON, June 25, 2015 - Fort William Historical Park is preparing to host its annual, fun-filled Canada Day Celebration on July 1. The event, to be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., will cater to families and people of all ages.
It will feature live entertainment, free Canada Day birthday cake, a scavenger hunt, carnival games, crafts, farm animals, science activities, face painting, historic dramas and tours, children's activities, canoe rides, contests (log sawing, potato sack races and Canada Pride), prizes and much more!
Participants are encouraged to wear red and white clothing and make Canada Day hats to win prizes. A Canada Pride station will be set up for children. Show your Canadian pride!
The official Park mascots, Willy and Amik, will attend, eager to make new friends. Coffee and tea sales will benefit United Way. Food and refreshments will be available. The event will feature free parking and will be held regardless of the weather.

Our great nation's rich history, optimism for the future, and cultural diversity are all celebrated, year round, through the events and programs at the Fort. This culminates every year at our Canada Day Celebration," says the Fort's General Manager, Sergio Buonocore.
Admission prices: adults, $10; seniors (60+), $8; students (13+ with ID), $8; youth (6 to 12 years old), $8; children (5 years and under), free. HST included.
