The campground is now closed for the season.

Nestled on the banks of the scenic Kaministiquia River and surrounded by picturesque wilderness, the Fort William Historical Park Campground has plenty of room for RVs, trailers, and tents of all sizes. Northern Ontario’s beautiful summer nights make for an amazing camping experience the whole family will enjoy! Be sure to add us to your travel itinerary while visiting Northwestern Ontario for a truly memorable experience.

Serviced sites $35/night + HST

  • Equipped with 50/30/20-amp electrical outlets, and a fresh water connection

Campground amenities include:

  • Picnic tables and firepit rings
  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Access to our gift shop where you can purchase souvenirs and gifts, and firewood
  • Pets are welcome at campsites
  • Just a short drive to a variety of shopping and dining locales
  • Paved wheelchair-accessible pathways
  • Access to the Kaministiquia River
  • Garbage cans and recycling bins 
  • Access to a grey and black water dump station

Fort William Historical Park Welcomes Cyclists

Our bike friendly facility offers a variety of year-round bike parking equipment including fat bike parking racks, sheltered parking and enclosed bike lockers.

If you’re planning a longer visit or are taking advantage of our watercraft rentals the enclosed bike lockers can be rented for half days or longer to provide you with increased security for your bike and belongings. Lockers are available to rent for half-days (up to 4 hours) for $5.00 or for 24 hours for $10.00. Just visit our Admissions Desk and our staff will be happy to get you set up.

Regular bike parking is available free of charge to all cyclists.
