Beginning November 11, 2022, we will reopen the King Road entrance and close the Broadway Avenue entrance for the winter months.

Fort William Historical Park has transitioned to its Fall/Winter hours. Guided tours of the Historic Site are now available Monday through Friday at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Self-guided tours are not available.

Whats New - VWC 2023

Voyageur Winter Carnival

February 18-20 • 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily

Join us at Fort William Historical Park for Voyageur Winter Carnival this Family Day Weekend! Come out and enjoy plenty of fun indoor and outdoor activities, including sledding and tubing hills, winter games and contests, visiting the farm animals, and much more!

Whats New - MBDC 2023

March Break Day Camp

March 13-17 • For youth ages 7 to 10

Campers will enjoy fun and exciting activities, including outdoor adventures, games, crafts, and traditional Indigenous activities. Registration required.

Night Sky Programs at the David Thompson Astronomical Observatory

Indigenous Night Sky Storytelling • February 2nd, 16th and 23rd • 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Indigenous spirituality, traditions, stories, and seasonal rounds are influenced by all of creation, including the Earth, Moon and stars. With the sacred blanket of snow covering the land, it is time to share the stories of the night sky and creation. Experience the richness and wonderment of the night sky through Anishinaabe stories and traditional teachings.
