Fort William Historic Site

FW Historic SiteStep back in time to 1816 and experience the Canadian fur trade at Fort William, the magnificent inland headquarters of the North West Company. The Historic Site is open Wednesday through Sunday, 10:00am-5:00pm daily. Admission is $5 per person and youth ages 12 and under are free.

National Indigenous History Month & National Indigenous Peoples Day

Indigenous History MonthIn June, Canada celebrates National Indigenous History Month to recognize the history, heritage and diversity of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples in Canada, and recognizing the contributions of Indigenous Peoples in the formation Canada. On June 21, Canada also celebrates National Indigenous Peoples Day; a national celebration of the heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding achievements of First Nations, Inuit and Métis throughout Canada.
