Art of the Storyteller

Storytelling teaches important lessons and instills cultural values from generation to generation. Come enjoy fun and interesting stories from the Anishinaabe and voyageurs cultures. This program is offered in both English and French.

Storytelling in English

Axe Throwing

Try your hand at throwing a trade axe! Voyageurs and tradesmen spend their leisure time trying to best one another in this game of precision and skill.

Fire a Musket

Firearms are an important trade item in 1815. Learn the skills you’ll need to use a fur trade era musket to hunt for your food.

Artisan Bread

Smell the aroma of fresh baked bread, baked in our historic bake ovens. Swing by the Bakery and enjoy a sample today!

Meet our friendly animals and farmers at the Farm. Consider lending a hand, there’s always chores to be done!

The Cantine Restaurant

Open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Cantine offers a variety of menu items such as stews, salads and sandwiches.

The Trading Post Gift Shop

Open 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
