Event Information

Fort William Historical Park invites exhibitors to promote their organization in an information booth set-up that would be of interest to patrons at the Park’s annual Anishinaabe Keeshigun event. 

About the event

Anishinaabe Keeshigun is a free public event filled with entertainment, hands-on activities, and demonstrations that highlight Anishinaabe culture, traditions, language, and technology.

How to Apply

Interested exhibitors are to review the information on this webpage and complete the Application Form below. If you require a different application format, please contact us. Completed applications are due by 4 p.m. on Friday, August 8, 2025. There is no cost to be an information booth exhibitor.

Details

  • Upon arrival for the event, exhibitors must check-in at the Admissions Desk in the Visitor Centre.
  • Set-up must be completed between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. each day of the event.
  • Exhibitors will be able to drive their vehicles on to the historic site for set-up. All vehicles must be off the historic site and moved to the designated parking lot by 10:30 a.m. Vehicles must not block roadways and pathways.
  • Fort William Historical Park will provide all exhibitors with one 6 ft. by 2 ft. folding table and two chairs. The exhibitor will be responsible for bringing any additional equipment. The total available space for each exhibitor will be approximately 10 ft. by 10 ft.
  • Tear down begins after 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, exhibitors are welcome to tear down at 5 p.m., but we encourage exhibitors to stay until 7 p.m. so they can operate for the entirety of the event. Exhibitors are permitted to tear down after 5 p.m. on Sunday.
  • If the exhibitor decides to tear down before 8 p.m. on Saturday, their vehicle(s) cannot be driven onto the historic site. Exhibitors are welcome to cart their equipment to the North Gate, where they can park temporarily for tear down.
  • Please do not tear down and leave before the event has closed to the public unless arrangements have been made in advance with Fort William Historical Park.
  • Overnight security will not be provided.

General Requirements

The Exhibitor shall:

  • Be operational while the event is open to the public, Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. 
  • Be prepared to operate in all weather conditions and without any guarantee of business volume.
  • Be responsible for bringing their own exhibition supplies. If the exhibitor chooses to bring a tent, the tent must have weights on its feet.
  • Provide a presentable exhibit area and professionally prepared signage.
  • Perform activities in the designated booth space.
  • Ensure the exhibition and information provided at the booth is culturally relevant.
  • Remove all exhibit supplies, structures, and waste after the event.
  • Return the space occupied by them to the same condition as it was at the commencement of occupation. The exhibitor shall be responsible for all damages to or loss of the Fort William Historical Park property which resulted from the exhibitor’s actions.
  • Agree that Fort William Historical Park will have the final decision in any rule or regulation deemed necessary at any time.
  • Comply with all provisions of law, including, without limitation, all federal and provincial legislative enactments, municipal by-laws and any other governmental by-laws and regulations and orders.

Please note:

  • Fort William Historical Park retains the right and sole discretion to accept or reject applications, prohibit, or remove any material from display which the Park considers offensive, objectionable, inappropriate, or disruptive.
  • Fort William Historical Park will determine the exhibitor’s display location for the event. Placement decisions are final and are to be respected.
  • Fort William Historical Park retains the right to limit the level of noise output by any exhibitor.
  • Fort William Historical Park retains the right to approve or deny items that will be displayed by the exhibitors.
