Located in Fort William Historical Park’s Visitor Centre, McGillivray’s Landing can accommodate up to 500 people, making it ideal for conferences, conventions, trade shows, and wedding receptions. Fort William Historical Park has also been voted “Thunder Bay’s Best Wedding Venue” in The Walleye magazine’s Best of Thunder Bay reader’s survey, with McGillivray’s Landing being our most popular wedding venue!
McGillivray’s Landing has the flexibility to be divided into breakout rooms for smaller groups. Each equipped with its own sound system, the breakout rooms are divided by full height, sound proofed walls to ensure maximum privacy.
The room’s natural décor is highlighted by a bank of full windows on three sides of the room that offer views of our picturesque wilderness surroundings. Your group can enjoy the breathtaking vistas by wandering outside onto our tiered deck. This impressive architectural structure wraps around half of the Visitor Centre, and provides a sweeping view of the outdoor courtyard, the Kaministiquia River and a picturesque pond complete with a 20-foot high fountain.
